I recently purchased an old trunk at an estate sale and was surprised to find
it full of antique clothes and other items! I don't know exact years or details
about the clothing except that most of the letters and news paper clipping in
the trunk were around the turn of the century- 1898- 1920's. They are from
rural NC. All are handmade. Most are very worn and fragile, with rips and moth
holes. They are treasures from the past for sure!
This is a cap or bonnet in great condition. Not sure of the fabric... feels
like linen but has a sheen like silk. Very lightweight. Has elastic in the back.
