Victorian rare hat pin, stick pin by FMCO. It may have been made in the late
1800s-1910. This pin has a flower encased in celluloid surrounded by a metal
frame, attached to that is leaf shape filled with rhinestones. It's really an
unusual piece and not as commonly produced that company. It's in vg condition.
The flower is not missing any celluloid, it is just the way it is designed to
see the flower.
It measures 2 3/4" tall and 1/4" wide.

"FMCO. is the trademark of Finberg Manufacturing Co., an Attleboro, Mass.,
firm that produced quality costume-type jewelry. Founded in the late 1880s, the
company originally was established to make and distribute perfume.
Finberg’s jewelry business was operated as a manufacturing jeweler making
women’s lockets, bracelets and other novelties that were sold mainly through
mail order companies. This makes it difficult to track and identify Finberg
products because catalogs seldom identify manufacturers unless the manufacturer
has made separate arrangements to advertise itself. But, for collectors,
Finberg jewelry items are almost always marked with the letters FMCO, or F.M.Co
or even Finberg Mfg. Co."
