This marked 10 k hatpin appears to be American made in the form of a stylized
one level Pagoda. Pagoda roof levels symbolize elements of water, fire, wind,
space and earth which is the first level. Conceivably, the design was inspired
by photos of India taken by Samuel Bourne in the 1800s or during the British
Raj rule by the British Crown of India 1858 – 1947; or perhaps it is not a
Pagoda at all! Regardless the design is interesting and well executed in 10 k
yellow gold with finely engraved alternating panels, the top and underside are
both engraved.

Condition: No apparent damage, the pin has tiny areas of gold so was probably
gold plated at one time.

Dimensions: Widest point ¼ inch/6.35 mm – Head length ¾ inch/19.05 mm –
Overall length 6 ⅝ inch/ 1682.75 cm

Metal: Pin head marked 10 k, pin base metal

Weight: 1.43 grams
