yellow gold fill. There are three 2.25 millimeter round diamonds that rest at
the bottom of the seal. The top showcases the Delaware state seal of the farmer
with hoe, the militiaman with musket, and the ox plus many other smaller
symbols. The lower bottom of the seal has the raised inscription "Liberty and
Independence". For Delaware, these symbols represent the agricultural heritage
of the First State. Farming is central to Delaware's economy, the ox means the
importance of animal husbandry for livestock and the militiaman with his musket
acknowledges the crucial role of the citizen-soldier to maintain American
