RARE* 1960s/70s “Nicky Zann” POP Art Comic Bonnet

I seriously debated keeping this one. Rare and collectible novelty print pop
art comic bonnet. Cotton fabric created exclusively by artist “Nicky Zann”
which can be seen in a few of the reoccurring comic panels throughout the
fabric. A collectible piece and designer who only did a short run of fashion
collaborations. This comic strip features “Doing Your Own Thing” where
characters share a variety of perspectives of the topic including:

“Doing Your Own Thing Is...”
- “Pitchin’” (personal fav)
- “Painting” (like this one too)
- “Dressing up like grandma” (clearly)
- “Serenading your loved ones”
- “A new convertible”
- “*Gulp* Eating”
- “Dancing”
- “Shh.. A secret” (questionable) *laughs*

There is an adjustable draw string tie on the interior crown which is helpful
for wind and also size. Can be worn with the bonnet brim folded up. The ties
can be braided into hair. I love bonnets! I love vintage hats in general!
Specifically bonnets! Did you know that the sign for “girl” in sign language
originated from the bonnet?

This rare piece is extreme chic. Had a total street vibe and is seriously one
of a kind. While researching this piece I stumbled across a pillow case by this
same comic book artist that was listed for $200!!! A blouse for $200 and
another top for $400!! Please someone grab this amazing true vintage 1960s/70s
iconic piece.
