Gorgeous vintage solid 9K gold English-made scarf OR hat pin with natural large Rubies

Such a wonderful vintage (but quite probably antique) scarf OR hat-pin! This
remarkable, exceptionally well-made slice of history is entirely crafted in
solid 9kt gold, fashioned in the form of long, wide, curling ribbons of gold
gently folding over a bark-textured branch. The rosy-warm gold (which, please
note, is does show some strong patina in places-- this is par for the course
and totally expected for a piece of this age!) is stunningly complemented by a
gorgeous cluster of large, NATURAL rubies on each side. These juicy,
gorgeously-faceted rubies offer such a spectacular, radiant colour, enhanced by
the pretty play of light across their chunky facets. In addition, curling,
sweeping tendrils of white gold finish the rich, eclectic look.

On the back of the piece, a long, hinged, double-pin fastener can be found.
The back is thoroughly stamped "9cT" alongside a makers mark. While scarf pins
and hat pins are not exactly popular in our contemporary fashion moment, this
pin is an actual work of vintage art, and would make a fabulous addition to any
collection of special antique pieces. I can imagine it sitting beautifully
against a thick autumn scarf.

The total weight of natural rubies is 2.85 carat, with each stone measuring
approx. 4.5 x 4 x 2.5 MM in dimension. The entirety of the pin measures approx.
1.5 x 1.5 INCHES. It weighs 10.0 grams.
