Antique Scottish Agate Stick Pin, Victorian Lapel Pin, Love Token

This is a beautiful shield-shaped silver stick pin, probably Victorian in
date. It is set with highly polished red and green agate stones and prettily
engraved silver. Probably Scottish in origin. The pin acid tests as sterling
silver, these older pieces were often left unmarked.
It is very sturdily made, a good quality piece and quite collectable.
These little pins were probably given as love tokens. They look good worn on a
lapel or as a hat accessory.

Measurements: 78 mm / 3 inches long. Weighs 2 g.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is a small mark on the green
stone but looking at it under a loupe it seems to be a natural fault in the
stone, but mentioned for accuracy.
