This beautiful antique Japanese hand painted Satsuma Hat pin, in rare
hexagonal shape, is in superb condition. The front is stunning, a Japanese
family scene.
The stunningly detailed surface of the top of the hatpin has been
painstakingly decorated with an intricate enamel, and gold overly design.
The Japanese maker mark Meiji period circle with a cross mark, denoting the
"Shimazu mon or the family crest of the clan that ruled Satsuma Han"
