Intriguing antique owl figural stick pin is made from 10K gold and set with a
beautiful turquoise stone, c. late 1800s to early 1900’s Victorian jewelry. Its
head and wings are intricately embossed in an Art Nouveau style. This portion
only has a green gold appearance made to compliment the green-brown matrix of
what we believe to be Royston turquoise.
Owls are known for their wisdom, likely because of their night vision, thought
by ancients to be a guiding inner light. We love its unique styling -- whether
worn as a hat or lapel pin, it will be a conversation piece!
MARKS: none, all gold parts have been tested and verified as solid 10K.
CONDITION: fine antique. Natural turquoise displays irregularities including a
tiny void along the edge and another about 1/8” to the left.
SIZE: 2-15/16” long. Figural = 1” high x 7/16” wide. WEIGHT = 2.1g (.07 oz)
